Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia where he currently resides, Mark Gray worked as a professional web designer for over 6 years. Through his work, Mark understood the importance of high quality imagery and so with a passion for the outdoors, Mark set out to learn how to capture the incredible beauty of the Australian landscape as we see it through our own two eyes - through panoramic landscape photography.

What started as a hobby involving extensive travel, rising before dawn and hours of waiting for perfect lighting conditions quickly evolved into a road of discovery where Mark found his true passion.

Today, in 2007, the sheer quality and originality of his photographs have stepped up the profile of the business and Mark has become a household name in landscape photography.

Artist’s Statement

“Photography for me started with the purchase of a Fuji G617 panoramic camera. I then tripped and stumbled my way, teaching myself photography to where I am today. When out in the field my work is influenced by the shape, movement and colour of nature and our amazing country. I endeavor to capture the times when mother nature is at her very best, when her true colour is painted across the sky, reflected in the ocean or spilt over the countryside.

I remember taking every photo in my collection, each with an early start or a long journey with the goal of capturing a shot that makes an impression.

All my work is shot using natural light on Fuji Velvia slide film and the colours in them are real.”
