This week we announced the arrival of our new web conferencing platform, omNovia.
Direct from the United States, our new technology, which goes live on January 1st 2013, offers a range of sophisticated features that are going to change the way that you run your online meetings.

- Thumbnail options: Your presenters will now be able to view their upcoming slides just like in PowerPoint
- Move slides on keystroke: No more having to use your mouse to advance slides, your presenters will now have the option to move their slides simply by using the arrows on their keyboard
- Laser Pointer: Making a point has never been easier with our new laser pointer annotation tool
- Shared Document Folder: Presenters can now upload a range of documents and links to an online document folder. This means that participants will be able to access them with a simple click of their mouse
- Enhanced Q&A Functionality: Forget having to scroll through the messages box, your webinar facilitator can now prioritise and keep a track of all questions and comments through a full sized Q&A Manager

A little about Movember…
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in Australia and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and male mental health.
Here’s why it’s so important…
- One in eight men will experience depression in their lifetime
- One in five men will experience an anxiety disorder.
- Untreated depression is a major risk factor for suicide. Currently, males contribute to 80% of all suicide deaths in Australia. This is four out of every five males. (ABS, 2012)
We’re incredibly excited to be part of this year’s event and are looking forward to reaching our ultimate goal!

Movin’ on up!
This week the Redback Team packed up and moved on over to Level 3, 285 George Street. Although it’s only one block away and one level up, it has been a much welcomed change and a huge step forward!
With 3 times the office space, two brand new training rooms and an entire games area – what isn’t there to love?
We also had the opportunity to meet our new neighbours during our New Kids On The Block gathering on Thursday. It’s OK though, there will be plenty more opportunities for wine, cheese and foosball once we all get settled.

We’re Talkin’ the Talk!
I’m quite a patient person, but there are two things that get under my skin…
People who don’t wave when you let them cut in front of you while driving, and speaking to automated voice recognition systems. Although I have a little trick up my sleeve (saying blah blah blah into the phone works a treat!) I still struggle with why… why can’t someone just answer the phone and help me?
I guess this is why I ended up working for a company that actually “talks the talk!”
Behind all the fancy computers and advanced technology there’s a group of people that are, well, actually human. We take our work seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously, we listen to each other, we work together and we own up when we stuff up!
